Dr. Devin Nikki Thomas is a multifaceted professional with a diverse arts, education, and public health background. With a passion for promoting health equity and social justice through the intersection of creative arts and public health, she has made significant contributions to both fields.

As a decorated Health Services Officer in the United States Public Health Service, Dr. Thomas boasts over a decade of service characterized by unparalleled leadership and expertise. Her pivotal roles in numerous national and international emergencies, including the COVID-19 pandemic, Operation Artemis, and Operation Allies Welcome, attest to her exceptional capabilities and commitment to safeguarding public health on a global scale.

With a Doctorate in Health Sciences from Radford University, specializing in Community Health, Dr. Thomas' research has focused on innovative approaches to mental health education, particularly using theater to increase depression literacy in adolescents. Her commitment to health equity is further evidenced by her work as a Health Scientist at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and as the former Chief Wellness Officer at the US Administration for Children and Families.

In addition to her contributions to public health, Dr. Thomas is a passionate educator and advocate for the arts. She holds a Master of Public Health in Behavioral Science and Health Education from Emory University and serves as an adjunct professor in both Theatre and Public Health.

Dr. Thomas holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from our Home by the Sea -Hampton University- where her research explored the impacts of media representations of racism on Black children in the United States.
As an award-winning actor and writer with over 40 projects to her name across film, television, and stage, Dr. Thomas has captivated audiences worldwide with her unparalleled talent and versatility. She has had the distinct honor of portraying characters in television productions such as "Law & Order," and “We Own This City”, and stage productions such as "The Bluest Eye," and "Is God Is."
